Today we had a big snow storm! Actually, it started last night. Papa says that we got about nine inches of the white stuff. I think this is the third storm that we’ve had this season, but it was definitely the biggest.
Papa is not happy about it. He hates winter and he hates shoveling snow. I don’t mind it though. Because when Papa is busy shoveling snow, I’m busy running around the snow with Zeke chasing stuff. I’m not sure, but I think that there are critters that live in the snow. I can smell them, and I’m pretty sure that I can hear them too. I think playing in the snow is lots of fun!

Today is my birthday! Hurray for me!
I’m eleven years old today!
Isn’t that exciting? I think so!
Funny thing is, I don’t feel a day older than two.

It snowed here a couple of days ago! I can’t remember the last time I ran around in the snow. It’s so much fun! Even Zeke is having a good time with the cold white stuff!
Papa, on the other hand, is not happy about it at all.

I just read some incredibly sad and painful news about my dear friend, Molly.
Molly was walking her sister, Meggy, and her daddy this past Sunday night (July 5th) when she was attacked by a pit bull in the campground (in San Diego) where she lived.
When Molly’s daddy got her to the vet, he discovered that her injuries were so severe that he had to agree to put her to sleep.
When we were in San Diego we (Zeke, Daddy, Papa and I) would all go for walks with Molly, Meggy and their daddy in the dog park and at the dog beach. We always had a good time together. And Molly was such a love, she was always happy to see us and she always gave Daddy and Papa lots and lots of kisses.
It makes me so angry that some humans are so careless with their dogs. Especially those people that have such an aggressive and powerful breed, like pit bulls. Those people don’t seem to understand or care that their dogs are capable of such horrible acts.
Molly was such an incredibly wonderful dog. She did not deserve such a horribly tragic death! Zeke, Daddy, Papa and I will miss Molly! We also want Meggy and her daddy to know that we grieve for their loss and hope that they can find some comfort in each other and in their friends.
My dear friend Molly!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been back in New Hampshire for over a week now. Although it’s been rainy and cool I’ve been happy to have so much grass to play on! Zeke seems happy with all the grass too. It’s also nice to have friends and family around again. I’m not sure how long we are going to be here, but I hope it’s a long while, because I was really getting tired of traveling. I need a break!
Papa, Daddy, Zeke and I were sitting in the RV reflecting on our travels the other night. What a fun, wild and strange journey we’ve had! We certainly have had an adventure and we’ve learned a lot too. What we don’t understand is why so many people have created lives for themselves that squeeze any and all fun out of their lives. They seem so focused on living a life of “must haves” and all the “to dos” that go along with all of it. Don’t they realize that they are living their lives on a big hamster wheel?
On the other hand, we’ve been to small towns in the middle of nowhere, where life seems simpler and people take the time to say hello. They may not have the latest and greatest or the biggest and boldest, but they have a quality of life that many “civilized” people seem to have forgotten. Life seems to go by so quickly (I can’t believe I am ten already!) and when it’s over, what really mattered? Maybe more people need to travel like we did in order to see the world differently.
Actually, I think it’s time for a lot of people to see the world differently!

We must have been tired because we all slept late here at the rest area (on US Route 20 in Cherry Valley, NY). We didn’t hit the road until almost noon.
We continued our journey to Hooksett, New Hampshire. On our way, we traveled through western Massachusetts, a little piece of southeastern Vermont and western New Hampshire. We finally arrived in Hooksett in the late afternoon. It was good to be back in New Hampshire again, where the grass is green.

Here we are at the rest area on US route 20, in Cherry Valley, New York
Our visit with our friends in Niagara Falls was great! They have a lovely home in a very peaceful neighborhood. It was good to visit with them again, because we haven’t seen them for almost a year.
But, today we have to resume our journey to New Hampshire. That’s a long way from Niagara Falls, New York. We definitely weren’t going to drive all that way in one day. So, we stopped for the night at a rest area on US route 20 in Cherry Valley, New York.
In all the time that we’ve lived on the road, we’ve never stayed overnight in a rest area.

It was nice to get a little rest for a couple of days. The campground was quiet and I was able to sleep late. But, it’s time to hit the road again. Today, we’re headed for a brief visit with some friends in Niagara Falls.

It might look like a leg, but Daddy says it's a "major award".
Daddy drove to Cleveland (that’s in Ohio) today while Papa, Zeke and I stayed at the campground and got some much needed rest.
The main reason for his trip to Cleveland was to visit the Christmas Story house. Apparently, some guy liked the movie so much that he bought the house that they used for some scenes in them movie. Then, he remodeled the house so that it looked like it does in the movie and he turned it into a museum. Daddy’s a big fan of the movie. So, when he found out that we were really close to the museum, he had to take the opportunity to go.

Today was our first full day, here in New London. I slept really late and then I laid on the dash board of the RV and soaked up some sun. I didn’t get too much sleep while I was lounging because I was busy dictating to Papa what to write in my blog for me. I didn’t feel like typing, so I asked him if he would do it for me since he’s such a good typist.
